Our own wikipedia!

Alright all you Jacobs-ites out there, I think the time has come to at least attempt to create a Jacobs blog. Do you know why? Well, at Christmas, while reading Christmas cards and talking to my mom, I realized that James and Gwen named their baby (in March of 07), Julie and Robbie had a second baby (Sept or 07) as well as other facts in being caught up in the Jacobs circle.

Maybe other grandchildren are kept more in the loop, but I'm guessing not! Therefore, our attempt at creating a place where each and every child, grandchild, and even great-grandchild of Barbara and Briant can keep in touch. Feel free to post pictures and/or stories, or anything you deem appropriate and would want other family members to know about.

This is a blog open only to authors, so it is a secure site. If you have any questions, please email me directly- alexisbergman@gmail.com.

am I a contributor if I leave a comment? I guess I'll just go ahead and see. But I still don't know how to post photos and would love to do so - maybe one from Christmas, from el missionary, or just something silly now and then. Who can help me out? Today I went to lunch with three friends, one of whom is going on a mission with her recently retired husband. Coming home, I reflected on the fact that I must not be a newlywed anymore. Tom would love to just drop everything now and go but somehow it doesn't seem very wise when you would need to come back two years older and try to find a job again so I keep telling him we must wait. Our missionary is having such a glorious time, and he doesn't help matters by his continual suggestions that it would be wonderful for him to come home to an empty house - and have his parents gone! Today was an ultra cold day - began at zero and then just inched up - the bad part of that is that in my basement "office", there are no vents for heat or AC so I just huddle over my little super duper space heater when my fingers start to turn to icicles. A little sad that I've now finally put all the Christmas lights, decorations and tree safely away back in our storage area - it took me four days but it's now done. What fun it will be next Christmas as we hope to have all our kids and grandkids together when Alex returns home. He's on a ten day tour now of the Patagonia with his mission president in his new role as assistant and I'm sure he's learning, growing and enjoying his life to the fullest. I've also gotten unbelievably interested in the political process going on right now - even to the point of going to Romney's site and signing up to be a volunteer, and even sending in a check - a first for me! We have a Kansas caucus (the first in twenty years) scheduled February 9 and I'm planning on going and being part of the process. I even went to the link to see about how to nominate yourself to be a delegate to the national convention, but alas, they ask for your political experience and I don't think being on PTA committes would cut it. Anyway, hope you are all well and happy - would love to see postings by someone else - it could be a habit if we tried! Love, J
